In recent weeks, my SVX key hanger caused me trouble with airport security 3 times in different airports. Rolling Eyes
Two weeks ago departing from Kiev, Ukraine, at the security checkpoint when they saw the image of my car keys on their x-ray machine in my bag, they made a whole hoola about it, before even searching my hand luggage asking for my passport, starting to fill out forms, and only thereafter digging up the keys from my hand luggage, then having a big discussion about the SVX key hanger, but in the end let me keep it. That same afternoon, at Vienna airport, the security also started to look hard at the x-ray picture, calling in their collegues, but when I then showed them it was a alu key hanger, they also let me pass.
This last week, I was courageous enough to take my keys to the USA, and again, at MSY airport, TSA took a special interest in it, but also put it back.
So, not sure why this is happening all of a sudden, I am flying all the time, and never had a problem, until now.
So, ...the SVX "lethal weapon" key hanger went in storage, and I am down to this harmless alternative since today. Laughing
Eric

CR, yours is sitting in storage with my spare key. So stays in as new condition. Thumbs Up
The one which caused me issues recently at airport security is my original SVX key hanger, in use with my key for 6 years now, so it shows quite a few marks... But it surely is not turning into a razor blade or box cutting knife I can assure you, so still don't understand why now suddenly all this hoola, when in the previous six years it passed airport security many hundreds of times without any issue at all.
