td5 security
hi all i have a td5 90 and have got a canvas which ill soon be fitting, obviously this makes her an easy target for thieves, she will have a tracker but id like to stop them taking her to start with, i was thinking about a switch in the ecu earth (accidentally found it wont fire without it lol) would this cause any issues being disconected for long periods? cheers Ed

Can't see any problems with leaving it disconnected, just check it doesn't do funny things to the immobilisation when you activate the alarm (assuming you have one?) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

IF it's a Td5 then it should have the 10AS alarm unit fitted as standard (unless you've had a hybrid ECU made so the alarm unit can be removed), so you just need to get it activated, and then you can use the plippers and coil around the ign switch.

PM sent re hidden switch too....
