2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black

Rattling cracked rear door.

My back door has been rattling for ages. After 7 years the back door has flexed with the weight of the spare on. I have bought a Mantec carrier.

Turns out the rear door had in fact started to crack and split and has been welded. Watch out for it.

Get a wheel carrier on from new.

1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Caledonian Blue

Mine is cracked where the bottom of the window frame meets the horizontal section below the glass.
Its on my list of summer jobs. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Same on mine few years ago, door replaced under guarantee and a spare wheel carrie was installed to do not have again the same problem. Eduardo

@excossack - perhaps worth a try with LR Cust Serv!

How much is a new rear door i wonder. Cheaper than a bit of welding and a spare wheel carrier?

I doubt they would even entertain the idea!
It will get welded and repaired over summer. Rear door upper repair panels would be good right now. 1999 Defender TD5 110
