Engine Rear Acoustic Cover Part No.
Hi,

Does anyone have the part No. for the acoustic cover that is fitted to the back of the engine closest the bulk head? I have only just noticed that my TD5 is supposed to have one. I have also read it is fairly common for them to be removed. Does it make any real difference to the noise levels?

Thanks

They tend to hide oil leaks from the rocker cover and are a pain to get off. I've removed the whole thing. www.td5.org

Thanks chaps.

Possibly not worth fitting then from a sound proofing point of view and a PITA point of view Laughing Michael was just telling me a story about a friend of his who slept with a land rover, lonely nights in the desert..
