Wipac Crystals
Hi there,
Just bought an '03 90 with soft top. It's had LED side lights and wipac crystal headlight conversion but there are 2 problems:
Full beam can only maintained by pulling the stalk toward the steering wheel. Full ram is super bright so the headlight must be working.... But...
Headlights in dipped setting don't illuminate further than 2-3metres.
Any thoughts on what's going on?
Thanks

sounds like the stalk is duff for starters, at least in high beam, I would start there and see what that does 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

Are you dipped beam, coming on or is that just the side lights light up 2-3m?

Do a quick test with the volt meter or test light on the back of the stalk. It could be the headlight relay.

I had the same problem - it was the switch stalk - full / dip beam / indicator. I could only drive by holding on the full beam.
It's very easy to replace, remove the cowling around the steering column, Switch stalk is a couple of screws and a plug. Just make sure you order the correct era of switch stalk as the plug changed shape.

Thanks very much...sounds like that's the culprit.
I'll get one ordered and give it a go...

This may be a silly question but are you putting the master light switch two clicks forward?

Or the master light switch might be gone, on dim dip the forwards position for main beam won't work 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Graft99 thanks I'd already bought the new stalk and found the 2nd click on the master stalk. Still no joy so I fitted the new stalk and all sorted. Thanks for all your advice folks :/)
