If your 110 is non-commercial then technically it is a problem

To right, confusing as heck. Well mine is a 2002 110 CSW so legally speaking fitting a safari equip receiver hitch to it would be illegal... And what? void my insurance...?!?!

It won't be illegal to fit it, just illegal to use it to tow anything. Craig Rogers

Potentially, I suppose, although only in the event of an accident that could be specifically attributed to the use of a non-proved tow bar. I've never heard of it happening though. Ok I decided to go with the Safari Equip receiver, should be here on Monday. I like Safari Equips products and already own a set of rock sliders and a wheel carrier (although originally bought from Scorpion Racing) of theirs.
And all in time to assist in moving home... ![]() |

Naughty boy Guy, not supporting your forum sponsors
![]() I was at the Safari Equip factory this morning delivering various bits to them. ![]() They are only a few minutes drive away from us. Brendan |

I also bought my Safari Equip receiver hitch from Overlander. Very good build, fits well (thanks for the advice on this post) and I must give Brendan a big thumbs up for his excellent service and generously given time. He was more than happy to meet after hours, when many businesses would be closed to custom.

Bit of a thread revival. Is there sufficient clearance on the top mounting bracket to leave the nato pintle in its proper place on the cross member and still use the two lower holes? Cheers. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
