Masai Zeppelin windows
Has anyone tried Masai Zeppelin windows ?

http://www.masai-land-rover.com

they don't look as "big" as the whole panel replacements and the side window is optional

Steve,

Maybe worth checking on stock availability? It may help your decision. From previous threads certain Massai windows can be hard to source.

Thumbs Up

I think they look strange too. Not sure why, can't put my finger on it ... they just do.

Nope, not just you. To me they don't seem to melt in well either with the rest of a Defender. Alternatives like Landyglass look a much better fit for a Defender. That's just my personal 5p of course.

I think they have too soft edges, standard windows work because they have thick bold outlines like most features on the defender, and the landyglass full panels work because they don't break up the lines of the car at all.

To me these look like they've been photoshopped in with a fuzzy edge, but may just not be a great photo Cheers, David

or these, a solid - non-sliding side window

I don't think landyglass would look right on a lighter coloured car

Non-sliders are also a great option! I never used to open mine ever apart from cleaning the accumulated crud out of the rails. Also adds that extra layer of security perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Thinking of changing the side windows on the ICE? If so, agree Landyglass would probably look a bit odd on a white truck with already black roof accents, etc. Personally would leave a limited edition like an ICE which is a very nice color combination in the first place, just as standard as you can.

Eric

I'm not thinking of changing the look of the ICE, I quite like the idea of clear side windows, not tinted or the glass side panels. No one seems to do a replacement single pane in clear glass.

Whilst researching, I saw the Zeppelin windows and liked the look, especially because they are available without the opening, my initial question was "has anyone tried the Masai windows"

I'll probably not change the windows in the green 110 either because I'm considering selling it for another (non-LR) 4x4 later this year.
