Wheel and tyre advice on Rapier Trailer
I am intending to start using the trailer more and have existing modular wheels fitted and tyres need replacing as they are definitely old. Now I am assuming the wheels are 7.50x16 and I do have a spare which I intend to mount on the trailer. Question is it best to replace like for like or fit metric equivalent 235/85/R16, issue being metric a little wider and can I do it legally to original wheels? Going for AT's as it will be working off road 50% of the time. Or sell them and buy some boosts _______________________________

Your talking about legality which implies you have a body on the trailer. If it's the standard box body I have seen 235 BFG AT tyres fitted on the standard rims without a problem. Boosts would likely need to be spaced out and this will mean some adjustment to the existing arches. www.td5.org

Thanks me@td5.org, yes the trailer is intact and wouldn't want to try removing the body. Yes more regarding the legality of metric tyres on a modular wheel currently fitted with 7.50.
Have decided to leave the original wheels just wanted advice on sizing, not going the Boost route now. _______________________________
