only had my 110 300tdi a few days now and a major problem is the seat base length! this may sound daft, but my dog a Lab, likes to sit on the back seats and had oodles of room in the disco2. put him in the defender today and he couldn't get comfy on the seats as they are so short! does anyone know if the newer seats are any deeper? thinking about some high back classics from exmoor My 109 thread

Pretty sure they are all the same depth, give or take an inch.

that's a shame, didn't realise the seats in defenders were so small! lol wonder if some one with a td5 or tdci could measure the front to back length of the front & rear seats.
my fronts are 18.5 inch centers and the rear are only 15 in !!! My 109 thread my youtube channel |

The Exmoor high backs I have fitted to the second row of my TD5 are about 17.5 inches, front to back. The extra depth is made possible by the seat back brackets, which move those further back than the originals. It also means you get slightly more leg room. However, a standard dog guard won't fit behind them.
I've made my own guard by building a solid half height bulkhead behind the new seats and then fixed a standard bulkhead-mounted guard to the top of that. You obviously end up with a slightly smaller load space as a result. have you got a pic? that sounds good, load space and guard not as important rather more space and comfy seats for rear passengers and dog!!! thanks for by the way! My 109 thread
