United Kingdom 2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Corris Grey
MY14 90 Wheel Choice Sawtooth vs Dual
I've had my 90 XS SW on order for a few weeks now, expecting delivery March/April.

I have gone for Corris Grey with a black contrast roof, and currently dual finish alloys.
I like the dual finish rugged look... But will the sawtooth look better with the black roof?

My question revolves around which wheels wear best? Is the paint likely to chip easily... Curbing shouldn't be an issue with such deep profile tyres? Also the sawtooth are only available with the wrangler MT, how are the road manners? I do like the XTech look

May all be a little style over substance, but I'll be keeping the truck clean and original... As clean as a truck can be living out in the sticks anyway.

Thanks for your thoughts guys

I have just ordered corris grey. I had dual alloys on my last 90. They are great if you are someone who cleans their car. They look great when clean but not when dirty and they get dusty quick.

I keep thinking about the kahn ones.

Sawtooth all day long, really not a fan of the SVX ones- don't think they look any better than the boosts and they're so expensive! Cheers, David

The current 2014 brochure shows the sawtooth much more expensive, but it doesn't give an option to add to the XS spec, whereas the duals do

Best thing to do is buy it with boosts on and then sell them. The sawtooth can be brought as an after market fit. So after selling boosts for say £800 you will have to put another £1000 towards them. But buy them fitted to your new defender and it will be £1800 and no boosts to sell.

Just picked my Corris Grey 110 up and swapped the wheels and Tyres out for black twisted 5 spokes.
Much better offset than the factory fit wheels.
