Yes that was my thought, that 110s for the first season (ie 1983) still had it. i think it had gone a bit more cream by then as well, rather than the more ivory shade used previously. 2011 110 USW

I see the Defender like a Wellington bomber (the latter designed by Barnes Wallis). Very resilient frame, tough & can take punishment, but overtaken technologically by competitors from Britain, Germany & Japan! Still a design icon to be respected though! Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender
