How to Remove the Cigar Lighter Socket?
I've spent the best part of an hour trying to get the cigar lighter socket out. Is there a knack to it? Or a special tool? The lugs don't seem to want to depress, as I would have thought, and the centre seems to be holding the green plastic ring from doing this. Does the centre metal part have to come out first?

HELP

I had the same issue, And never taken it out. Only person I can personally think of is Chris at CSK he has removed plenty of them, an yes there is a knack to it. There is bound to be others here that have fond it though too and can advise you. Thumbs Up ____\We|Will|Win/___

Sorted! It seems you need to be robust and use a bit more brute force than you would think necessary.

Thanks for your suggestions.
