Fitted battery today! The Odyssey PC 1700 is advertised as a Defender Battery Replacement. It does indeed fit but required a little 'fettling' to do so. The positive terminal has a 500 amp mega fuse attached of a 't-piece' terminal. In the original position the 't-piece' is not long enough to reach the terminal from the end position it fits to the battery. Dismantled the mega fuse assembly 'dremelled' the top to facilitate fit and spun the t-piece 180 degress to give it about an extra 10mm reach. I then replaced the long battery tray securing screws for two short stainless steel allen bolts to prevent shorting on the t-piece in the new intended position. I then fitted the positive terminal orientated so it fits to the terminal from the side of the battery rather than the end (basically rotating the terminal clockwise 90 degrees from oroginal fitment position). Hope this makes sense but a quick battery replacement turned out to be a couple of hours to do! May help anyone else considering an Odyssey PC 1700.
