Transfer swoop 200tdi into TD5 90
Forgive me if this has been covered Embarassed

Could I take the transfer box off my 200 tdi Discovery & fit it into my 2003 TD5 90 ?

Disc box is an LT 77 whereas TD5 is an R 380

As far as i know the Transfer Boxes are the same though (LT230), just the different ratio on the Disco tx box of 1.2. Which makes for better motorway speeds at lower revs.

Only thing is that the early transfer box won't have the low range switch on it for the throttle response.

mine hasn't either, but I never liked it anyway so don't miss it.
