Help design a new garage storage system
Sorting out the garage into something more workable and want to kit it out nicely.

All of the old racking, work benches, tool chests will be going and am starting from scratch. (If anyone wants some free/cheap bits then keep an eye on sales corner)

Back to the task, have looked at Dura garages but well out of budget so am thinking about fitting kitchen units with a simple worktop and back panel.

Initial layout is below, however will probably add an extra wall unit

Any thoughts as to a possible alternative to kitchen units? There won't be too much weight in the units and so do not see too much of an issue. All the large/heavy bits will be on some heavy duty racking on a separate wall.

Need thoughts on a backboard too, whether to keep it plain or use something like a peg board in order to hang trays etc for nuts + bolts and tools. Suggestions for a supplier?

Or just use the thread as an opportunity to show your garage layout for inspiration.

Every year, I go to the Autosport show.
Every year I buy a piece of Lista furniture. Quality German Engineering, better than my Snap On roll cabs.
I was stunned to see McLarens workshops kitted out with it.
Not cheap, but take your time and buy once. Kitchen furniture can't withstand kids and clumsy mums, I wouldn't put it in a garage.
