Alarming
Finally got round to attempting to fix the rear passenger door on the 110. It hasn't locked on the central locking for a while.

Had trouble with the locks since I bought the truck as it had annoying lock bounce but managed to solve that with 4 new door locks but the rear passenger door still refused to lock, finally purchased a new central locking solenoid and fitted now not only does it not lock but the alarm beeps every time I press the central locking.

I have toyed putting the old solenoid back on and the same.
Adjusted the door catches no difference

Any ideas as I am sick of having to lean across every time I leave the car.

I can't explain why you've got new issues with a new solenoid but the failure to lock problem is almost certainly a broken wire in the rubber link tube between the door and frame. It's a very common problem, unfortunately. Darren

Would a broken wire mean the solo oid would t work? I have the new one working and the old one it is almost as if they don't move it far enough.

One possible for the new problems is I have just jet washed the underside ready for waxoyl and possible water ingress think I may be clutching at straws but possible. Left it to dry now before part of the door ends up somewhere along way away!

Ah, sorry. When you said it didn't lock I took it to mean the solenoid not working. If it's trying but not quite locking then the alarm will beep to indicate a mis-lock. If you've replaced the solenoid, then it's got to be some resistance in the mechanism that it's trying to move. Try lubricating all of the joints and the lock with white grease or similar to see if that frees it up. Darren
