Anyone been to Oxon Hall touring park Shrewsbury ?
For half term (end Oct) we are going here because you can reserve a hardstanding whereas with Caravan Club sites its first come first served and at that time of year grass pitches are a pain. Also as we're not going until Sat 26th Oct everything will be choca bloc from Friday evening school hols etc.

My in laws will be coming to meet us for a few days and I can't wait to explore the Iron Bridge museum network. But I wondered if anyone has stayed here before and also some ideas on things to do, nice walks etc.

I have driven through or been driven through Shropshire for 45 years now and, while I have always said to myself 'I'd like to spend some time there' this is the first time so I would welcome any suggestions. Also whats the best curry house in Shrewsbury ? (thats really important) Very Happy

Oxon is a nice site and have stayed here a few times. Only life about 15 miles down the road. One of the nice things to do here is use the park and ride bus service into Shrewsbury which is right next to the site.

Can't help with the curry house sorry but I'm sure a quick look on trip advisor will get that sorted for you.

There are some easy but very scenic green lanes just up the road near church stretton and the long mynd. These places are worth a visit for walking if you don't fancy the green lanes. Thumbs Up
