cuprinol wood preserver personally you wont get better my grandad has been building sheds and garden furniture for the last 48yrs and swears by it
or proper cresote if you can get it

NO NO NO NO NO to creosote- Its for KIDs to play on
 Creosote will burn there skin off  Ideally water based preservative. Needs to protect the wood and the little angels clothes and hands etc. Creosote and oils have a habit of sweating out the wood meaning clothes would be ruined and you'd be oh so popular  |

I always used to use a Cuprinol product called "Red Cedar Preserver", but this was back in the late '60s and 70s, and with the 'revolution' in preservatives I doubt it is still available.
Cuprinol still make the best products IMO, there will be something in the range to suit. Use of traditional creosote, if you can even get any, is highly illegal now in all but a very restricted set of circumstance. Definitely illegal for what you want. |
