Cutting one will be difficult as there's a very slight curve on them.
If it helps I have the earlier sunroof if you want it, I don't know if the holes in the glass are in the same place but..... I replaced it with the 'military escape hatch' which is all aluminium. |

They only have a curve on them as most cars that have this type of sunroof fitted have a dome shape to the roof so a flat glass panel would look out of place.
Does your escape hatch have a curve in the aluminium panel JR ? 2005 Td5 90 XS Steve |

The curve in the Land Rover roof is to aid sealing.
I seam to remember that it might have but it never gets opened (I don't like sunroofs but the 90 came with one) & it's been fitted for a few years now. |

Thanks all. JR, how early is the one you have? Would it fit a 1998 90?
Good to know that they might be the same as a Disco 1 |

Exact age is unknown as my 90 does not have its original roof, but it's a smooth roof. Also the sunroof isn't the rotary handle type from the later Defenders.
The seal on the frame isn't that good but the glass is fine. the roof holes are the same across the range, what does change is the spacings of the holes on the glass are certainly different between my glass and the alloy military roof. |

When I smashed one in a previous 'fender all I just rang my insurance company and they had a screen replacement company out to supply and fit a new one the next day. Steve.

Hi all,
I'm still on the hunt for replacement sunroof glass for my 1998 D90. Can someone confirm if the pop up sunroof glass fitted to a TDi Discovery of the same era is the same part? |
