Diff Rebuild
I have put a 4 pin centre in the rear diff of my 300 tdi 90.

While its in bits I decided to replace all the bearings.

I have got the new bearings in and the diff back together, I have used the original shims and I think the pinion height is set correctly but I'm not 100% sure.

This is the first diff I have put back together.

Here are a couple of pictures of the contact patches I have got.

I have got 0.004" of backlash.

I don't want to get it all back in the 90 only to find it whines.

So have I got it right or am I going to have to make up a height gauge and get some shims sorted out?
