My accountant stated that because the defender is essentially a van it is very tax efficient as a company car!
I have asked him to look at car user allowance against company car this year. |

The emission figure for the Defender is the crippler I'm afraid you'll find once the formula's been crunched. 103g/Kg on my current company car at a retail value of £18k equates to about £70 per month tax liability, mine is also 'benefit in kind' so I can use it for personal use.
There are so many mitigating factors but the Defender emissions kicking out 269-295g/Kg does not bode too well. You can reduce it significantly by company advertising logos on your vehicle and not using it for anything but work use of course. ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
