I have +2 lift on my 90 and it drives way, way better than it did on standard suspension.

It it wallows on +2 lift, then the owner put the wrong shocks/springs on. --

We have 3 90's one lowered with minus 2inch, one is on standard genuine setup and the other is on +2inch most favourite to drive is minus 2inch by far but then its down to personal opinion as always with a defender Thumbs Up

Claire you will love the new setup, -1inch is just enough, it doesnt look too low and handles a tad better CSK Automotive

I was told springs were heavy duty standard and fitted at garage...no issues with the standard of work but its a two inch lift and wallows a lot..will be better when lowered.

Why not just take the +2 off and make it standard, rather than -1?

I don't get lowering, unless you need to get it in a garage or something. Standard is fine for everything else. It's a Defender, you can't drive it like a car. Get used to it.... and/or....

... tune the handling with different rating combinations of springs and shocks. If the spring and shock rating is wrong for how you drive, then it will still be wrong whether it is plus 2 or minus 1. The actual height has very little to do with it. Mine has a +2 lift and doesn't 'wallow' at all as it correctly set up (no anti-roll bars either, never had them, never seen the need to).

But each to his own, one thing about Defenders (as they are now, maybe not in the future) is that you can mess with them and make them do different things! Thumbs Up Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
