checker plate match
Wondered if anyone can help me locate a match for my checker plate. Id like to plate the bonnet and the rear cross member. I have the land rover fitted plate kit(come with the car). The plates aren't sprayed although they don't seem naked if that makes sense. They look treated

Any help would be great as I keep standing on my bonnet when using the roof bars

Chequer plate on rear cross member? NO

Normally put on rear cross member to either try and disguise a 'tired' ie rust box of rear cross member. OR it will help make rear cross member a rust box!

It sounds like you have Anodised chequer plate. But as Brendan says, don't out it on the rear cross member. It can trap water and dirt behind it, and speed up corrosion. An engine to TDi for!

Thanks for the cross member advice lads ill avoid the idea now. Also anodised plates is what ill try to locate for bonnet. Any idea of a good location to get the thin matting that fits between plate and paint work ?

The thin matting is neoprene and is usually about 2mm thick. If you buy from somebody like Mammoth then I think they do these gaskets for all of their products.
