Td5 Front Spotlight Relay
Hi all,

Can anybody tell me where the front spotlight relay is on a 2004 Td5 XS? Is it behind the switch itself?

Cheers

Nick

Does the vehicle have spot lights fitted or are you expecting there to be one as standard that you now want to make use of?

If the former, then it will depend on how they were installed. There isn't a 'standard' position, as such, although if they're installed with a genuine loom then it's probably under one of the front seats. If it's a DIY install then it could be anywhere from the engine bay to behind the dash.

If the latter then there isn't one. Darren

Hi Darren

It's an XS model so comes with factory fitted spots and a separate switch (with the headlight symbol and a "2") on the switch panel. I assume therefore that it comes with a relay?

Also - while I think of it. I've checked the relays in the man fuse panel and also under the seat but the diagrams on the panel covers do not include the spot relay. Hence, I assume it's behind the switch itself?

Even on an XS, spotlights would have been an optional extra, which means they're installed with the genuine accessory loom. As I said, take a look under the seats. Look for a relay in a separate holder, possibly with a fuse built in. More likely to be near the battery as there's less useful room under the drivers seat. Darren
