Seems Land Rover are to recall some vehicles. It would appear that some less than perfect vehicles has gotten through the stringent factory quality control checks and then these faulty vehicles even made it through the Dealer Pre Delivery Inspection checks. Seems there has been a few vehicles that have the odd leak into the footwell when it rains. Rumour has it that doors on some vehicles may not be closing correctly. The odd vehicle is sporting a chassis that has not been properly prepared against corrosion. There have even been reports of "rattles" been heard inside the odd vehicle when been driven. Naturally Land Rover cannot tolerate these anomalies so they will be issuing recalls to fix these isolated problems. Land Rover have stated that the number of vehicles involved "is miniscule" so they don't expect dealers to be busy rectifying these faults. They think they have isolated the bad batch and will be contacting the owners of these vehicles to arrange for the faults to be remedied. Once again they state that the numbers involved are small but if you feel your vehicle has left the factory in less than perfect condition you are welcome to contact Land Rover directly.
Seems the small number of vehicles involved fall in to the sequence LR 0000001 onwards. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

And... You really believe that Landrover are the only manufacturer in the automative industry to suffer with poor quality?
If you don't like the poor build quality and it has become such an issues then go and treat yourself to any other equally unreliable or poorly built vehicle. then go join their forum and drip like a septic tank on there! The thing is it probably will end up in the scrap yard before it reaches it's 10th birthday, the Defender will still be going strong. You only have one life, live it....forget the cost. 90XS Hardtop |

One of few new cars you need to carry tools in. Minimum of a long screw driver to keep putting the turbo pipe back on.
