Took a trip out on Saturday with some friends to Strata Florida. As per usual drizzly damp weather, it is Wales after all, but had a great pleasant trip. River levels were low and easy and the bimble was enjoyed by all;
Click image to enlarge On the way to the start a hint of better weather Click image to enlarge Plenty of water but not deep Click image to enlarge Nothing to worry anyone Click image to enlarge We had a chap along with an L200 he had not long bought, and it coped as it should do with no hassles, having an electronically operated locker on the rear helped it cope any cross axles where one of the Disco's faltered, more than likely operator skills. Click image to enlarge With the sun finally breaking out we took a bimble to the hard track round Claerwen Water. Click image to enlarge No issues for this lane, just some cracking scenery! Click image to enlarge Nice way to pass the afternoon Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge With the end in sight. It was a very pleasant trouble free day, the only drama, if you could call it that was one Disco didn't relocate a rear spring, that was soon remedied. The series with us had got an electric fan and the switch on the dash gave up, just joined the wires together and he pulled them apart when he didn't want the fan on. It was nice to see no fresh damage by the teste di cazzo of this world, previous damage looks to be reinstating itself slowly but nicely. Long may it continue. A few cyclists and walkers about, waves and smiles from one and all though there was a look of envy from the female part of the old couple on a tandem halfway through the Claerwen lane. The one bit of poor behaviour was from two or three trial bikers that were in a group of about ten, the lead biker who was a fair bit in front of the others came through where we had stopped to let the kids stretch their legs and the adults take in the peace and quiet. He came through the group without slowing down much and near enough doing a wheelie before he'd passed through. Most slowed right down and cheery waves exchanged whilst a couple came through not dropping speed and cutting close to the motors, could have been very close if one of the kids came out from behind a truck! I know that some have a thing/fetish for loud exhausts but be honest some of those were LOUD! Nothing at all to spoil a very pleasant day out with friends, just so glad this better weather has arrived so we can get out more without making a mess. Thanks for the compliment on the photos, it was the work of my 12 year old as I was busy driving as well as something for him to do instead of constantly giving me driving advice

That's Caerwen Dam itself and yes you can drive over to the other side, then turn round and come back.
