England 2016 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red
FS Defender 110 CSW 2002MY
Hi Folks

Well, after much thought and debate I am selling my part-finished 110. She is a strange beast having been owned and used by LR for the first 3 – 4 years of her life and then being prepped for a close relation of LR for the Dakar as a support vehicle. As such she is a 2002 MY Defender but on a 2001 plate – I think LR produced some 2002 Defenders before releasing them to the market and as such the running gear and dash are the later type as is the ECU. She also has twin shocks to the rear from new and, from what I know, up rated transmission and suspension all round.

I will list some of the mods below and then what has been fitted since but believe me she is in very good condition - underneath and the chassis have recently been Waxoyled. By doing this I am not hiding any rust on the chassis as there is none and whilst she has some battle scars to the body she is in very, very, good condition and all is needed is some TLC to the exterior and interior.

Anyway, some history first. Like I said she was a LR vehicle and has a travel book listing the times she was driven and what she did over a few years – this also lists what work was done and needed as there is an entry each time she was taken out. From then in about 2006 she was supplied to a company that worked closely with LR and used as a support vehicle for 2 Dakar events. Obviously she was specked up for this; including an internal Protection & Performance cage, second fuel tank (now removed but the filler is still there) and various bits of electrical devices fitted such as a Terratrip 303 Plus which is still fitted and fully working. There are some electrical points in the rear for a fridge and other bits – you will see what I mean when you come and see her.

After the second outing to the Dakar she has had little use and stood for a couple of years in a dry barn and was purchased in January 2009 by a friend with 67,702 miles on the clock (mileage taken from the MOT). Since then she has been used very little having covered some 9,000 miles since Jan 2009 but serviced and maintained by him to a very high standard. There is however no service history with this vehicle other than the known history and travel book. Upon the sale of the vehicle I will give more info as to the previous owners but please don’t try to guess in open forum or ask as the reply will be ‘sorry I can’t tell you’.

At this time she has just passed her MOT in January with no advisories and has 12 months tax on her and she has covered 76,000 miles. I was doing her out to go off roading in but the events I was going to attend have been cancelled so I will just keep the newer 2012 Defender I have instead.

As the old seats were torn I have replaced them with new Exmoor trim XS heated seats (front) and the rear seats are no longer there offering someone the option of putting in seats or using the rear as storage etc. I have a new Exmoor trim carpet set for her although this is not fitted. The rear has been matted out and there is a cage from the rear to where the middle row of seats would be.

I have has a new screen fitted due to some marks on it and some new rubbers to the small oval windows above the rear seats as they were perished. Also new door seals all round (OEM ones) as they were all split.

Some basic info here as to what she has had done and fitted:

6 x Steel Wheels with MTR 235/85/16 tyres – 5 as new and one slightly used
Sonic/Alisport Swing Away Wheel carrier
Waxoyled
Extra Rear Foglights x 2 – high level
Tubular Front Bumper
Steering Guard
Light Guards – Front
OEM Checker Plate
P&P Internal Cage
Heated XS Seats
Mantec RAI
Rock/Tree Sliders
Roof Bar
4x 3 Way Hella Spotlights
New Clutch
Ashcroft Discovery Transfer Box
New Front Diff 4 pin so stronger
Detroit Truetrac Read Diff

She, from the second owner, has been BAS remapped and has a boost box on and believe me when I say she goes well, it’s true and she sounds awesome!!She has an EGR removal kit fitted and also a de-cat pipe on.

I think this is about all for now other than the price – well she still has some finishing off to be done and I have most parts to do this so looking for £10,250 inc parts etc.

You will see from the pics there is a lot of stuff in the rear that is to be fitted and also some door cards missing - well these are in my garage and will all be sold with her.
