90 propshafts
How much longitudinal movement should there be? Both front and rear propshafts appear to be solid. Crying or Very sad
Are they scrap? Proud owner of 1962 IIA since 1971, Talyllyn Railway enthusiast.

You'd have done serious damage to you transfer box or diffs if they were solid and you'd know all about it.
How are you testing them?

10-20mm will cover most prop movements, my truck cab with a 2" lift and dislocation on the rear only have 15mm rear lateral movement. Cheers

You are correct about serious damage, see my son's posting "T’was the day before Christmas eve " in the Technical forum. The 90 "CEEDEE" is still off the road awaiting replacement transfer box etc.. Dave was cleaning the propshafts and we observed that there was no movement longitudinally even when addressed with a heavy adjusting tool. There was no evidence of grease anywhere but the UJs seem OK.
It looks as though, more expense for two propshafts. Embarassed Proud owner of 1962 IIA since 1971, Talyllyn Railway enthusiast.

Rolling Eyes New front propshaft FRC8390 arrived, free movement nearly 2 inches and slides very easily. Now saving for rear unit Whistle Proud owner of 1962 IIA since 1971, Talyllyn Railway enthusiast.
