Mine doesn't open from the outside either. It's always passed its MOT but I'm lucky that the guy that tests mine is very 'sympathetic' towards Defenders Wink

But on this years MOT he did mention that the door should open from the outside. This was followed by a moments silence out of respect for the Defender, and the MOT pass was then granted Razz

Take the door off. As long as you still have 2 mirrors it should't fail for no door.

Sorry, not helpful really I know, but I did once take a LR for a test with no doors (it passed), and after my old Tranny failed decades ago due to a defective passenger side seatbelt I unbolted the seat without leaving the premises and passed an instant free retest.

Drivers and 'all' passenger doors must open from inside and outside

Info here ... http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m4s06000201.htm

Cant take the door off anymore either lol .. if it was fitted it must still be present Rolling Eyes Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
