I have a Subaru Forester XT for my wife. They are really fun cars in winter time. Love the engine, although changing spark plugs is a hefty half day pita!
Somehow I can't stop thinking about swapping the turbo for something bigger. She might like that as a birthday present. The car below used to be my daily drive. I took it to my clients, the shop, trackdays, the shop, road trips, the shop, the shop, the shop, etc... One day I decided I might be better of replacing the k-series for a Duratec. Project is almost finished so please, I need the summer!

Before the Defender, the daily drive was a Seat Ibiza FR TDI (Nice but dull to look at, as you can see in the photo below.
I had this RRC for a while, given to me by a workmate who moved abroad and wanted a good home for it. There is nothing like the sound of a V8. Click image to enlarge But this one is for keeps.
I bought it in 2009 and it will see me out. My son has already put a future claim on it. I don't have a recent photo of it but it does now have the proper "period" number plates but has lost the bling stickers when I repainted it with a roller and brush in 2010. 1970 Series 2A 88" |
