The best people to ask are the Aussies about this. A discussion on Roo v LF can be found HERE

The LF lights are water proof up to a depth of a metre. Have two LF 170 fitted on bumper and they have been submerged many times and are not gold fish bulbs which most lights would be.

The bulb and reflectors are not the same in both lights.

The LF lights take a lot of beating. Also have a set of IPF lights on light bar. These have been damaged by flying gravel whereas the lower mounted Light Force lights have shrugged off the gravel.

Guess what I am fitting on the new Defender?

Good choice on the Lights Leeds, you wont be dissapointed Thumbs Up

I followed link after link when researching this and at one stage ended up on You Tube !
Dont know if its still there but some mad man was going at a lamp with a 12 bore Pump Action at close range which kinda made me think that they could take a beating,

Any Aussies want to comment: Sheep

Whoops sorry Whistle

Lightforce for me too!
Written on the side of the Lightforce 240 XGT boxes I am just about to place into recycling! This will probably be the clip Chalky was referring to on You Tube;-

'Our Strength Is Legendary'

Under strict police supervision we subjected our lights and filters to a test that redefines the concept of EXTREME testing! We invite any other light manufacturer to try this test! At a distance of 15 metres we subjected a light and filter to six rounds from a police issue 12 gauge Remington 870 pump action shotgun utilzing #7 shotshells. Result? The polycarbonate filters did not shatter like glass or acrylic. Unbelievably, the light was still shining bright.

I'll just go get me gun!!!!

PS Bl00dy hell Ken, you got shares in the company???? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

K9, that sounda about right, and the light was still shining, the lense looked similar to the old OAKLEY add where the lense had been peppered with shot, looked like it could stand the abuse that a stone might inflict after flicking up,

Ken,

I take it you travel a lot in the dark, or not looking at the output from that lot !
My two 170's were astounding so i cant even imagine how much they light up the path ahead.

Ken,

i gotta admire youre honesty, Bow down

Admittedly the High Low Function is a good feature, Not wanting to state the obvious and one which you seem to have overlooked !

And the most important thing
Nearly -

They look good, Damm good in fact !

Where did you aquire such items and how much are they "roughly" compared to other popular brands ?

Say lightforce for instance ? DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN
