Chequer Plate - keeping it neat!
Just joined the forum after pretty much reading everything on here! Thought I would try to put something back. Hope this works...

I have had my 2012 110 USW for about 2 months and already noticed corrosion around dealer fitted screws that secure chequer plate to wings. Easy fix was to replace them with A2 stainless M6 x 20 countersunk screws from screwfix and a LOT of copper slip. Probably easier than getting the dealer to change them every 6 months! They fix straight in to existing rivnets - hopefully no problems between those metal types? (probably no worse than it was...)

If you've got black (or other coloured plate), you can also use these:

Despite the difference in anodic index, ss and alu aren't too bad together, especially with Copperslip, Duralac etc.
Smile Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
