I have been running a de-cat for about a year with no adverse effects. I have just a small box at the rear of my system (which I am thinking of removing). The sound is lovely and can only be heard when giving it some right foot- for regular driving you don't even notice any increase in noise.

The de-cat will help with spool up time of the turbo whether or not you have a re-map..... Bit like the intercooler will reduce intake temps. But a re-re-map will basically bring it all together and make the most of what you have. With the re-map and de-cat on mine and now find driving around effortless and pulling back 28ish combined mpg.

When getting it de-cat just drop Gary an email and I am sure he will sort you out with another file to upload Thumbs Up

When I asked Gary about a new file after I do the decat, he said it would probably not be necessary with the Decat and I seem to recall he also said the ECU will learn or something along thse lines.

I will try and find his email and give you a more accurate answer. "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce

This is what he said:
Removing the cat is a good thing, as it'll allow exhaust gasses to escape more easily, drawing heat away faster. No need to change anything in the map, as it will adapt to it. "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce
