Just been watcing the race2recovery on sky+ nice Bowlers! (and nice blonde driver in one of them... FEMALE blonde!)


Yes, Dakar is on Eurosport, sky ch. 410 at various times of the day & night.

It's getting very tough now for them, they are a long way back and will be struggling with very little sleep, arriving so late at night leaves the service team very little time to sort out problems but I am sure they will be doing the very best they can. It's very tough this year with so many huge dunes so early on. Ben has the most experience and I think he will keep them together to pull through these early stages, they must get at least one car to the end with luck.

Only the one left now so I am sorry to say it is not looking good, no service team last night and a very long stage today.

Young Ben rolled the "rat cat" into a ball but at least they are OK.

Race2Recovery team completes Dakar
The 2013 Dakar Rally saw history created as Race2Recovery, the group of predominantly injured soldiers who formed a rally team to raise funds for Forces charities, became the first ever disability team to complete the world’s toughest race.

The team’s Land Rover Defender-based Wildcat race vehicle, running on Cooper Tire’s Discoverer STT, and its crew of driver Major Matt O’Hare and co-driver Corporal Phillip Gillespie, crossed the finish line of the final stage in Santiago, Chile on Saturday evening, ending two weeks of racing that saw the team’s other three Wildcat vehicles fall out of the race. Andy.
