2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HCPU Stornoway Grey

Model year vs Manufacturing year

Hi guys, ran my serial number on the Topix site and no surprise it came back as a March 2011 model (is a 2.4). But surprise surprise, I just received the "Certificate of Manufacture/Assembly" which states the car was build/assembled the 30th November 2012!

Guess that means it's been sitting around in boxes in a warehouse for about 18/19 months.

Just checked the registration and it says 2012 ... Nice to know as i got the dealer down an extra 5,000 Ringgit (about £1,000) because I thought it would be registered as a 2011 one.

Apparently the truck also has an "EU2 - Rest of the Word engine" ... Guess this means it's a tad more polluting than the ones sold on your side of the world. Or is there other differences?
