Unfortunately I do not have that, and I understand the implications. However, right now I am mainly focussed on what is legally required and M+S suffices for that... Next time I will prepare better. |

Hello County, think you are not in the Geneva area at all (above Montreux, yes?), but if you look for steel wheels plus tires, have you considered the Nokias on black Modulars directly offered by LR Switzerland as winter tires for Defender? That is the surest and fastest way to get quality, I have those for 4 years now, and it is a very good experience. Otherwise, but again it is in the Geneva area, Pneus Claude are very good and very sharp on prices, I have known them cheaper than France in many cases. I live in Iceland. I have had many 4*4 and we do have heavy winter here sometimes. My tires of choice are the BFG AT. They are very good in deep snow and fine to drive all year round. I like the finer threat of the AT better than the MT in snow, its less likely to DIG itself into the snow. Here most 4*4 owners have their tires " MICROCUT " I´m not sure what you call it but then the middle of the tire threat is cut ( crosscut ) and it gives better grip and the tire is better both on wet and snowy condition. It clear the threat better of snow and water.
Now I have my LandRover Puma on 285/75 /16 BFG AT on I think 7 inch wide steel wheels from paddock. http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451 |

I think the extra cutting = extra siping. DIY Americans often do that, from their forums. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender
