Oil change
I changed the oil yesterday and only managed to get 6.5litres in, I left the drain plug out for ages and topped up the plastic filter housing aswell,
Is this norm or was there still 1/2 litre left in? its only a car!

Might be air. Give it a run then have another look.

I've done about 20miles and still saying full,
If I turned the engine over with the filler cap loose would get any air out or spray oil every where? its only a car!

Leave it. It's full. Mine is the same. Just keep a bit in the car and you eye on it for a while.

Did you change the oil filter too?

Edit to add - the oil cooler in the rad can retain oil too. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

its fine. Changed mine twice now and I always put just 6.5L in meaning to top up after a spin but its always full. I have had a bad experience with a dealer overfilling a previous car (most dealers seem to - its really annoying and can cause loads of problems -just google it and you'll see !) so I'm ultra cautious. Bear in mind also that there's 2 litres between the full and low marks on the dipstick plus the fact that this engine doesn't burn a drop compared to,say, VAG engines Thumbs Up
