United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
I think decent rubber matting is better than carpets in a Defender - mine has carpets but all covered with genuine rubber mats to keep the crud off.

One of the things I really liked about the Tombraider was the absence of carpets. The rubber matting was good quality and lasted well. They came with chequer plate mats which I replaced with rubber over mats in the winter - kept the bling mats for shows Laughing John

Final update !!!!!!

I am pleased to announce that Landrover customer service have agreed to supply & install new full carpet sets in both motors FOC.

From conversations I’ve have had with LRCS, it looks like quite a few new delivered landrovers are having the same complaints.

The motors are being taken to a different dealer closer to us which helps.

I would like to thank a few that have supplied info to help with this issue and LRCS for actually doing the honourable thing Thumbs Up

The chap i was dealing with tells me hes only been in the seat for 3 months . He took over the position of Alison Mitchel , an amazing LRCS woman who had been in the position for 25yrs only to be taken to The position in Jag . I have new taken all seating out and put down thick black axminster , even RR would be proud of this carpet .
