My first car was a 3 door Morris 1000 purchased for £5 when i was aged 11 we used to drive it around the fields on my uncles farm (if it would start). 2005 Td5 90 XS

A 1966 Triumph 2000 mk1 estate, and a very nice car it was too, until the inevitable tinworm became too bad. It was followed by a 1974 twin-wheel Transit minibus, with the awful V4 2 litre engine and the strangest auto box I have ever driven. In about 1978 that was sold to finance my first L-R, a 1953 80" which I still have. I have never been Landroverless since.

My first car that I went out and bought was a Hillman Husky(Hillman Imp Van), bought it for £60 and it had 6mths tax and MoT on it

A (heavily-discounted) Rover 200 just after BMW sold the company to the Phoenix Consortium. Seem to remember at the time them having 100s of unsold cars stored on an airfield...

Lada Niva 1600cc Petrol. Written off by a Seat Ibiza. Replaced by another Lada Niva 1700i. Sold and replaced with a td5 110 1999 Defender TD5 110

FIAT Panda
In many respects it looked a lot like a (much) smaller Defender Ninety, roughly the same shape and had many minor niggles but never let me down |
