Engine Temp
i know its cold of late, well -2 or so around here last two mornings.

quick question, in a 11 MY puma, when sitting in slow moving/queuing traffic (<10mph) for 5 to 10mins and with the fan on speed 1, temp on max, does the engine temp go down from normal in your Puma?

this is after engine being up to 80-84 deg for 5 - 10mins of driving. Cheers

08 90XS I have a Scangauge and when stationary after a run the temperature will drop by about 4-6 degrees quite quickly even in the Summer months. It runs at about 90 degrees normally 'on the go.' In slow moving traffic though I find generally it only drops by about a degree or so as you are still periodically placing load on the engine. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

If its any consolation jst I asked the same question ( on the forum) last year whilst I was parked outside the chemists waiting for the missus in -5. The heater was on full blast and the temp gauge gradually plummeted towards cold. Bottom line is that this vehicle needs to be moving for the heater to work properly when its really cold outside !
