Might be an idea, I fitted a couple of switches into a couple of the "blanks" on the console. I took a blank into my local Maplins, looked at their selection of switches and found a small rocker switch that would fit within the blank after I cut a hole out and used that to trigger a relay that powered the gadget. One controls the master switch for my heated screen the other controls my marshalling lights. Even though I won't be getting rid of my 110 in the future, a blank to replace the switch is a damn site easier and cheaper to replace back to standard than a hole in the dashboard.
