help - friend of mine just called....
Just been called out to a stricken freelander 1. Its run out of petrol so we've put some in but it still won't start - i'm wondering if we've not put enough in?
What concerns me most however is when trying to start it. We can hear the injectors tapping but it does sound like the engine is turning over? Is it shot or is there something clever stopping the engine turning while no fuel?

Any help most welcome.

Is the oil level ok as some cars use a feed from oil pressure switch to fire the fuel pump if the oil is really low or switch faulty you might not get any fuel just a thaught
