We had a football match today ( U9s ) and at half time a 1 min silence was observed by the boys ,parents and officials . It never fails to be poignant and it was very respectful , a good thing for the youngsters to be involved in.

Agreed. I wanted to take my 6 yr old lad to the local service but didn't finish my Saturday night shift at work till 8am so I couldn't. Fortunately the wife took him to his Sunday morning rugby lessons where the coach had all the kids stand in a circle and observe 2 mins silence. I really appreciated him doing this.

Hope to take the boy on a few trips to Normandy in a few years time.

I had my minutes silence in the afternoon once I'd woken up.
