Whatever you get choose get the most expensive that you can afford. Look for multi lens coatings and go for as big an objective lens as you can ie if it says 7 x 42 that means its a x 7 magnification and the front lens diameter is 42mm, the bigger the lens the more light it lets in so the clearer and sharper the image. & x 42 or 8 x 56 are both good all rounders. Unless they are very expensive German glass stay away from zoom binos as they are as much use as a button on a sock.
Cheap binos that are not of a decent quality will let water in and fog up and will be useless, a bit of rubber armour is a good feature as binos are like iPhones and don't like being dropped! Best of luck. Steve |

Anything stonger than 8x magnification will require a tripod.

These are pricey, but excellent pocket sized binocs. Great optics - I got mine as a pressie and for the size they are brill!
