Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.. Now long gone.

But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Hi- had same problem with my puma - engine accelerated when depressing clutch - after long search discovered it was faulty fuse 13 - rear brake lights. changed fuse and problem solved. regards jackh

mine did the rising rev bit. if i recall it was a fuel pressure switch somewhere. the dealer fixed it and never had a problem since then.

don't worry about your new Defender just report the faults and if you have a good dealer they will fix them, i have always had excellent service from my dealer, thankfully.

re the clonk i reported a similar issue at my first service as it was not there when i bought it [at 5 months old] but was getting worse. it was just the nuts on the prop/brake drum a tad loose. again no probs since they were tightened. BM52
