Which is pretty much what I said earlier in this thread Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster but owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.. Now long gone. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. 2 votes for the clutch switch then
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

mine did the rising rev bit. if i recall it was a fuel pressure switch somewhere. the dealer fixed it and never had a problem since then.
don't worry about your new Defender just report the faults and if you have a good dealer they will fix them, i have always had excellent service from my dealer, thankfully. re the clonk i reported a similar issue at my first service as it was not there when i bought it [at 5 months old] but was getting worse. it was just the nuts on the prop/brake drum a tad loose. again no probs since they were tightened.
