The company I work for are currently one of the largest customers of Toughbooks in the UK and from that position I can tell you that this is an odd product to release.

To many large organisations are still to sceptical to allow Andriod anywhere near their enterprise architecture.

Without big companies buying them and then disposing of them, how will ebay get flooded with cheap ones for Defender owners to buy..

Oh but the manufacturer of a rugged tablet running iOS will be very very rich. Especially if it is intrinsicly safe and waterproof.

It looks like a smaller version of my CF-D1 Toughbook tablet, ok I suppore if waterproof and fully rugged, but not sure it wil take over the other tablets on the market.

With poor specs, only 16gb of storage, i don't think its going to do well. It would be nice to have something in the truck that i wasn't worried about breaking though.

I will stick to my toughbook CF-19....

It is a tablet, normal laptop, comes with 2 USBs, 1394 connector, LAN connector, Serial port, VGA output, WAN, GPS, removable hard drive (250GB), SD card slot, Express card slot, and PC card slot- Running XP Pro. Which means it is capable of everything from solitaire to full vehicle diagnostics.

It will do all the things that tablet can and when throwing it about the place you can spin the screen and lock it so that it is protected from possible damage........

But I guess it doesn't have the 'I am better than you' apple badge on the back so must be un-cool Rolling with laughter

If anyone wants to part with a CF-19 or D1, I need to buy one to run SDD as my CF-18 is becoming too slow and outdated. Ideally needs to be an i5 processor. Whistle

I have a Iphone 4 and a Ipad in Lifeproof cases

no lifeproof case for a iphone 5 yet so my iphone 5 is temporarily in a otterbox defender case which isnt waterproof but does the job.

if you google them, lifeproof are rated for waterproofness to military grade IP rating.

Ive had em a while and it is truely awesome, dropped my iphone 4s many times and got it soaking, no problems at all
