Where to eat.
We're considering moving to Lymington and popping over later to have a look at a house.

Any suggestions for a local eatery. I know Lymington and Beaulie quite well but fancy a nice pub dinner nearby.

Might be tempted to pop over to Yarmouth as foot passengers and have a bite - although if I remember rightly you need a second mortgage for the IOW ferry Rolling Eyes 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

Lymewood at Lyndhurst is nice, but you'll find loads out there... if you do move, you'll be able to join us on the plains!

If you fancy a trip into the New Forest it is only about 20 minutes or so away from Lymington, down A31 and off to A338 towards Salisbury, BPman and myself occasionally meet with our families at The High Corner Inn, can be busy in Summer but food is great as is the locat....You could head that way on way back to Devon and the midday rush will be over....

The Red Shoot is also very near, also good food....

Alice Lisle too...

There are undoubtedly great places nearer to Lymington too but not so well-acquainted with the eateries/pubs in that area, but as stated these are not too far away. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

High Corner is a great choice - you even get some off-roading on the way there !

Menu is sometimes limited but the beer is good.

Only if you go via the Redshoot though, pub crawl maybe Mr. Green

There is a decent few walks between the two as well - done that hic! Although looking out the window today I'd say driving is favourite!

The Fleur de Lys in Pilley Street just outside Lymington is nice. Sunday lunch is particularly yum.

Eventually found the High Corner Inn after taking a wrong turn, followed the Sat Nav up someone's drive in the middle of the New Forrest. The owner of the house got really peeved when we open his front door, sat down and asked for the menu !

We found the pub and your right there's a bit of green laning to do to get to the car park ! Nice setting, food was OK and service was good Thumbs Up

More importantly we've found a house and may be making an offer. Just need a couple of things to fall into place tomorrow before calling Agent. Did I mention the property has a nice sized double garage in the garden Very Happy

Amazed at how many modded Land Rovers we saw between Dorchester and Lymington, was there something going on this weekend ?

So bpman a worthwhile trip, may well be joining you on the Plains in the not to distant future. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top
