New Year, New (ahem) Year?
I'm unfortunate enough to have a New Years Birthday, so Mrs G has asked me what I want to do...
Last year we went camping in Langdale. It was a bit wet.

I'm looking for suggestions people, the best wins a prize. As some know, I do really give away stuff Wink QRZ 2e0vpf

To earn brownie points and stand you in a highly favourable position to milk it for the rest of the year suggest a trip to Venice or even a trip to New York. The amount of kudos you can glean from letting her have some time with you away from the cold and "sacrificing" your Land Rover for a short time will give you such a huge "Pass go and collect £200" card so that you could near enough do whatever you liked for the whole of 2013 Whistle

I'm with JWL - if it's cold and wet and you're not "allowed" to go greenlaning in the Amazon, make the sacrifice and do something romantic like Rome or Venice (cheap as chips with EasyJet etc. and hotels are cheap at that time of year). I speak from experience - you'll get away with anything "Defenderish" for a few months after that. You might even enjoy it Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I can imagine that there's a few minds whirring away with my suggestion. Perhaps you could all get together for a "group buy".............you'll get a discount and know there'll be someone you know when you get there Whistle

Don't count me in, I'm divorced Smile

Come out here..... we are having a new year bash in the bar I manage with loads of free drink and food. Will even be setting off fireworks. We will probably be doing some snow off-road on the afternoon of the 1st..... but then me and the missus are off to Malta for a week after that.
