2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Keswick Green
White smoke?
Hi Guys,
Today I found that my 2009 puma started to emit loads of white smoke in the motor way when throttled heavy at speed around 130kmph. Sad Sad Didn't found any DTC codes with scanguage. Question Question

Anybody who experienced same or any ideas, please post.

Many thanks

Hi

Not that I hope it is the problem - but it could be the head gasket ( I think it is called). Check for bubbles in the coolant or check the oilfillercap for white "grease". Hope it is something else - but the only thing I could think of.

Best Regards

Many thanks for the post Christian.
I do not find any bubbles in the coolant and I suppose if there is a gasket leak , water temp should go up. But mine all look fine. This happens when I throttle heavy at high speeds only. Question Question

Cheers Smile

You can get this where coolant leaks externally onto something hot, like the exhaust manifold. Any signs of dried pink deposits in that area?
