The intercooler should be a bolt on fit so should be straight forward a swap. Make sure you get the hoses on fully before you do up the clips and keep the cooler pipes and internal hoses free from oil before refitting.

Hi Pete

Would like to find out myself for when my turn comes to upgrade.

I have A/C and had a look the other day but it looked like you will have to remove A/C radiator???
And how do you remove the crossmember(or whatever you call it) that covers the radiator and intercooler? Looks like there are bolts in the fenders behind the headlights that needs removing?

Please shed some light for me!

I fitted Alive intercooler with silicone hoses myself on Puma 2010my with a/c.
In general you have to follow workshop procedure, but not exactly Smile

Sequence was:
1. radiator grille
2. fan housing (only upper part)
3. hood latch panel - you have to remove 2 studs - № 18 on picture - it wasn't very easy... I used some type of claws (vise or clamps?) then I changed that studs on M8 bolts
4. old intercooler with hoses
before I fitted new intercooler I had to do 2 things :
1. lessen 2 bolts on A/C radiator and slightly push A/C radiator forward
2. remove plastic outgrowth on left binding (?) of the main radiator. That plastic outgrowth didn't let the new intercooler to fit vertically
Also, it was more convenient to fit hoses after new intercooler bolted in place.
Keep in mind that it is only my experience and all Defs are hand made so yours may be slightly different Smile

remove the studs "18"!!!

When you will re-install use normal (SS) screws, so in the future will be more easy for (eventually) maintenance Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

"303 Engine"
then "303.12 Intake Air Distribution and Filtering"
then begins with "Charge Air Cooler (19.46.19)" Puma 110
